In connection with numerous appeals to the President of the Republic of Belarus to make January 2, 2012 a day off, the Head of State decided to recommend that heads of labor collectives declare this day a day off at their discretion. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent by the press service of the Belarusian leader.
The President also instructed the relevant services to take measures for the stable operation of the country's life support facilities during the holidays, primarily healthcare, energy, and housing and communal services.-0-
