On July 12, Vitebsk / Tatyana Polezhay - BELTA /. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko will traditionally open the International Arts Festival "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk", the press service of the head of state informed BELTA. Today, Alexander Lukashenko will present the main award of "Slavianski Bazaar" - "Through Art - to Peace and Mutual Understanding" to People's Artist of Russia Lev Leshchenko on the stage of the Summer Amphitheatre. In addition, the Union State Prizes in Literature and Art will be awarded to People's Artist of Belarus Georgy Poplavsky and Russian poet Gleb Gorbovsky. The festival in Vitebsk will be held for the 21st time. This year's program includes 75 events, the main ones of which will take place from July 12 to 18. Representatives from 28 countries will take part in the festival. Almost 400 media representatives, including more than a hundred foreign ones, have been accredited to cover the festive events. -0-
