"There are quite a few who want to rule, but you should examine them carefully, see what they have done so far," Alexander Lukashenko said. The Head of State cited the statement of one of the presidential candidates as an example, who intends to hand over pipeline arteries and oil refineries to Russia in the first year of being in power. "When I read this, I get scared and offended. This is our heritage, how can we give it away?! Whom did you ask?" the President said. Addressing the city residents, Alexander Lukashenko emphasized: "It is you who must set everything straight and make a decision. It is precisely you." "Our happiness is in our hands. If we are together as a single whole, if we see the country, think about our children, we will achieve something. If not, no government will do anything for us alone," the Head of State believes. Alexander Lukashenko noted that "something has been achieved in the country over these years." "We should not say that Lukashenko did this. Your support saved the country, thanks to it we created it, and the main thing is not to lose it now," he said. At the same time, Alexander Lukashenko believes that no one will be able to ruin the country anymore. "No one is given the power to ruin Belarus: neither Russia, nor Ukraine, nor the European Union, nor America," the President noted. "We are no longer the same; it is impossible to artificially bring us down unless we bring ourselves down." As for the elections, Alexander Lukashenko admitted that he is not thinking about them yet. "To be honest, I'm not even thinking about the elections. But in Minsk, sooner or later, you will be pulled into election matters. To distract myself from this, I go to the people, to the field, to the village, to talk with people. Therefore, I am not suffering from this pre-election mood yet," the Head of State said. "I also tell the officials: these are not my elections. These are your elections: you will be evaluated on the ground." "The elections will pass. How many of these elections have we had.
