June 17, Minsk /BELTA/. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has demanded maximum openness and regular media coverage of the activities of the working group dealing with problematic issues in the construction industry. He set this task on June 14 at a meeting with the working group, BELTA was informed by the press service of the Head of State.
According to the President, this should include informational reports, news stories, as well as interviews, press conferences, talk shows, and analytical materials. "The media should constantly inform the public about your work," the Head of State emphasized. "There is nothing to hide! Otherwise, there will be no full effect."
Alexander Lukashenko added that all resources should be involved in the group's work. "There should be no trifles in the group's work. You should not overlook any factor or deficiency," the President warned.
"Frankly speaking, I wanted everyone involved in the work of this commission, those whom you will control, check, study, and the public to hear me, so that they don't say later that they didn't know, weren't ready, and so on. Let everyone hear what we are talking about, let everyone understand that this is very serious," the Head of State noted.
"Decisions must be tough, unambiguous, without delays and excessive bureaucracy. Identify, order - and it must be executed immediately at any level. If we start coordinating, then reporting, then recommending, we will delay the commission's work, fail to make a decision, and will not achieve its effectiveness. The commission is of a direct action nature," the President emphasized.
"If someone made a mistake, let them correct it immediately. If someone intentionally did something, but did not cause significant damage, well, they will answer according to the law. For those who have corrupted the construction industry, who have brought the greatest deficiencies to this industry, who are engaged in fraud and violate the law, their place is clear. Send them there. You have officials who will ensure your decisions. There is no other way," Alexander Lukashenko said, addressing the members of the working group. "We need to solve problems in a timely manner that are simply crying out today. And I really hope that you will cope with this task." -0-
