13 May, Beshenkovichi /Tatyana Polezhay - BELTA/. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko sees great prospects for the development of private business in the country. He stated this today during a working trip to the Vitebsk region, a BELTA correspondent reports. "Only sick people can say that the President does not need private entrepreneurs," Alexander Lukashenko noted. Addressing the head of the Belarusian-Russian joint limited liability company "Vitkonprodukt" Vladimir Nekrashevich, the President said: "What drives you? It's your life, your livelihood. My job is only to ensure the rights of the individual, the holding company head, and all people. I dream of dealing only with human rights, ensuring a normal salary, and that no one can come and say: you know, I like this - give it to me, as happens with our neighbours." Alexander Lukashenko added that "we don't seem to have that." "Yes, they don't like us because they feel we are competitors and will stifle us in every way," said the head of state. At the same time, he believes that the main result is that "there are queues for Belarusian products." Speaking about the enterprise he visited, the President positively assessed the head's work. "No one will say that we don't have private entrepreneurs in agriculture," the President added. /To be continued/. -0-
