The Head of the Belarusian State, Alexander Lukashenko, assured that he would do everything in his power to ensure that the upcoming presidential elections are held in strict accordance with national legislation and international standards. The President of Belarus emphasized this while receiving credentials from foreign ambassadors today, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. Addressing the diplomats, the Head of State noted that the country's political and business life is open to them. "You will all be able to see with your own eyes," said Alexander Lukashenko. The President expressed hope that the ambassadors would be "benevolent and unbiased observers of the processes taking place in the country." "Let us work together for the rapprochement of peoples and the strengthening of long-term relations between our countries," he said. "Our country is developing dynamically. The liberalisation of the economy, the unleashing of creative and entrepreneurial initiative have become particularly relevant now," the President emphasized. "We are actively working to create a favourable investment climate. Today, Belarus strives to master new technologies and gain access to know-how." According to him, cooperation in the scientific sphere and in the field of modern industrial developments is one of the components of dialogue with the world community. Alexander Lukashenko is confident that "this dialogue will develop constructively on the principles of good neighbourliness and harmony." Belarus is open to mutually beneficial cooperation with all countries of the world.
