The Prosecutor's Office of Lepel District has analysed the efficiency of agricultural organisations during the harvesting campaign and compliance with labour protection legislation.

Officials of agricultural enterprises disregard the requirements of legislation in this area, allow drivers without alcohol intoxication tests to operate vehicles, and also permit agricultural machinery to be used for work without obtaining roadworthiness certificates.

Furthermore, employees of the district's agricultural organisations frequently violate labour protection and fire safety regulations, use faulty equipment that does not meet safety requirements, and operate defective machinery in their operations, which can also lead to workplace injuries.

In addition, in certain agricultural organisations in the district, workers at grain drying facilities are not provided with appropriate workwear according to standards. Floor dryer facilities that are in disrepair are allowed to be operated. There have been instances of smoking outside designated areas, which are specified in fire safety instructions, properly equipped, and marked with "Smoking Area" signs.

Based on the findings of the inspection, the Prosecutor of Lepel District has submitted a representation to the Agriculture and Food Department of the Lepel District Executive Committee concerning the elimination of violations, their causes, and contributing factors.
