During the discussion, the representative of the Emergency Situations Ministry informed the citizens present about the operational situation in the Vitebsk region, highlighting the causes of fires that had occurred. Andrei Nikolaevich noted that every person needs not only to know the rules of conduct in emergency situations but also to be ready to implement them at any moment, both at work and at home. The need to maintain electrical wiring, stove, and gas heating systems in proper working order was also emphasized. Issues such as the inadmissibility of smoking in bed while intoxicated, as well as the importance of installing autonomous fire detectors in living rooms and keeping them in working condition, were also addressed.

The representative of the Emergency Situations Ministry pointed out that the main cause of child deaths and injuries is the carelessness of parents who do not provide adequate supervision of their children and leave them unattended.

In conclusion, Andrei Nikolaevich urged everyone present to be concerned about their own safety, as well as the safety of their relatives and loved ones.

Subsequently, the representative of the Emergency Situations Ministry visited the fire and rescue posts of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations and also communicated with the personnel.

During a constructive dialogue, many issues were discussed with the employees of the district department, ranging from the professional skills of rescuers to the ideological aspects of service in the Emergency Situations Ministry bodies.
