During the discussion, the MES representative informed the citizens present about the operational situation in the Vitebsk region, highlighting the causes of fires that had occurred. Andrei Vladimirovich noted that every person needs not only to know the rules of conduct in emergency situations but also to be ready to implement them at any moment, both at work and at home. The importance of maintaining electrical wiring, stove, and gas heating systems in proper working order was also emphasized. The topic of spring field burning and the importance of installing autonomous smoke detectors in residential rooms were also addressed.
As part of the meeting, agricultural workers localised a simulated fire using a fire extinguisher.
In conclusion of his speech, Andrei Vladimirovich urged everyone present to be concerned about their own safety, as well as the safety of their families and loved ones.
Next, the MES representative visited the units of the Lepel District Department for Emergency Situations and also communicated with the personnel.
