Winners of subject olympiads, creative contests, and sports competitions were traditionally honoured at the I. M. Yerashov Gymnasium. Over the year, many unawarded prizes accumulate, which find their recipients at the festive ceremony "Applause". With musical greetings and a photo presentation, the schoolchildren are treated to a real celebration. On one hand, this encourages active participants, and on the other, it motivates others.
74 certificates and diplomas were presented to the winners of subject olympiads, and the participation of 30 students in research activities was acknowledged. Creative contests, agitation brigades, rallies – educational work was not forgotten either. In this category, over 30 gymnasium students received certificates. The "star hour" arrived for eighth-graders Ekaterina Silvanovich and Igor Undro. A wooden racket, made in honour of Victoria Azarenka, helped the students take second place in the regional contest "Belarusians in London," organised by the National Olympic Committee.
The gymnasium students also have awards of a higher level in their collection: for example, eleventh-grader Nikita Leiko received a certificate for participating in an international research paper contest dedicated to the Great Patriotic War. There were also those gymnasium students who had to come onto the stage more than once to receive certificates. Among them are tenth-graders Yunela Samuseva and Ekaterina Klunduk. One of the most anticipated awards for ninth-grader Sofia Kostyukovich was ninth place in the republican mathematics olympiad. The event concluded with the gymnasium anthem and, of course, applause in honour of the best students.
