After this date, payment will have to be made at the new rate. This was reported to a BELTA correspondent by the State Property Committee of Belarus. Thus, payment for March, as well as arrears on rent, is made based on the base value of Br35 thousand only until April 1. The State Property Committee draws the attention of landlords and tenants of state property and property owned by business entities, in respect of which the Republic of Belarus or an administrative-territorial unit, holding shares (stakes in authorized funds), can determine the decisions made by these business entities, to this fact. In accordance with Decree No. 518 of October 23, 2009 "On Certain Issues of Rent and Gratuitous Use of Property", rent is paid in Belarusian rubles, based on the base value established on the day of payment. At the same time, the State Property Committee recalled that a new document on rent has been prepared. In accordance with the draft decree, from April 1, the rent rate will be decoupled from the base value, and a base rent rate will be established. -0-
