Artyom Saratokin from the agricultural unit named after Yuri Smirnov of the Orsha KhKP Dubrovno District has become the first among the youth crews in the Vitebsk region to reach the "two-thousand" mark.
The agricultural worker was congratulated by Alexander Subbotin, Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee; Vladimir Yurgevich, Assistant to the President of the Republic of Belarus – Inspector for the Vitebsk Region; Tatyana Dikanova, Chairperson of the regional trade union organization of the agro-industrial complex; and the leadership of the Dubrovno District Executive Committee. The grain grower reached the two-thousand tonne milestone on a domestic KZS-1218 combine in a field of spring wheat.
Alexander Subbotin thanked the combine operator for his dedicated work, emphasizing that harvesting two thousand tonnes in these challenging times is a feat.
– This is not the limit. New thousands and new records await you. Success is achieved by those who invest professionalism and skill in their work. Thank you from all of Vitebsk region. We wish you success in the battle for the harvest, good health, and peace. May everything you do turn out well, – the head of the region addressed the agricultural workers of the enterprise.
The hardworking and modest young man, Artyom Saratokin, has been a leader in the harvesting campaign year after year. He has been repeatedly honored at the regional "Dozhinki" festivals. For Artyom, this is his 7th harvest. A hereditary agricultural worker who followed in the footsteps of his father, a mechanic, he says: working the land is my element, my life.
– Our district, region, and country have something to be proud of. We live under a peaceful sky, grow grain, and earn our living by our own efforts. This must be valued and protected. We, agricultural workers, will do everything to ensure the food security of the country, – Artyom Saratokin emphasized with pride.
Currently, there are 28 combine operators in the Dubrovno District who have harvested more than a thousand tonnes of grain and rapeseed. The district has passed the halfway point with a total harvest of 51,327 tonnes of grain, with an average yield of 38 centners per hectare.
