17 February, Senno / Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Anatoly Tozik intends to ruthlessly combat indifferent officials and doctors. He stated this to journalists today after a reception of citizens held in Senno District, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
"Officials must remember: they are servants, not the served. One must be responsible for what one does. An official who is not concerned about their work must leave," believes the Deputy Prime Minister. He intends to combat such bureaucrats by administrative methods.
Another problem raised during the reception of citizens was the callousness of medical professionals. Despite the fact that favorable working conditions have been created for doctors - their salaries were repeatedly raised in 2010 alone, and polyclinics and hospitals are equipped with modern equipment - citizens' complaints about the coldness of doctors continue to come from different parts of the country, Anatoly Tozik stated. "Is it really so difficult to ensure that there is no doubt that the doctor has done everything possible for the patient? Is it really so difficult to simply talk to a person, to explain things to them?" the Deputy Prime Minister wondered with bitterness.
Anatoly Tozik is convinced that no matter what position a person holds, they must first and foremost remain human. -0-
