This viewpoint was expressed by the Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Interdepartmental Expert and Coordination Council for Tourism under the Council of Ministers Anatoly Tozik. He chaired the plenary session of the IECS today, which took place in Novopolotsk, BELTA correspondent reports. The Deputy Prime Minister noted with regret that Belarusians sometimes do not know the attractions of their country. "Tourism should foster an understanding that Belarus is not a young state, its history is no poorer than the history of neighboring countries and spans over a thousand years. This must be told," believes Anatoly Tozik. Belarus does not need to compete with other countries in terms of attractions like medieval castles, the Deputy Prime Minister noted. It has magnificent nature, social stability, villages with preserved ways of life, and wonderful people. All this can make the country attractive for international tourism.-0-
