On November 26, Lepel became another stage of the "For Belarus!" motor rally, organized by the international public association "Slavic Brothers". The participants – mainly residents of Saint Petersburg, as well as Kyiv and Belarusians – have travelled for eight days through Eziaryshcha, Dubroŭna, Shkloŭ, Mahilioŭ, Pinsk, Brest, Hrodna, Lida, Minsk, Lepel, and plan to return back through Polatsk and Viciebsk.
The main motto of the people's diplomacy event is Belarus and Russia – fraternal states, Belarusians and Russians – fraternal peoples. The land of Lepel welcomed the rally participants hospitably. They were greeted with traditional bread and salt, and a large rally was held. Wreaths were laid at the graves of fallen soldiers in the square on Svaboda Square and at the chapel built on the site of prisoner-of-war camps.
The guests noted the sincerity of the people of Lepel, the excellent organization of the event, and the exemplary condition of Belarusian roads.
