The festive "Autoprobek-2017" (Motor Rally-2017) to the "Proryv" (Breakthrough) memorial complex, dedicated to the 72nd anniversary of the Soviet people's victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 90th anniversary of DOSAAF, will take place on May 5 in the Vitebsk region, as reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Ushachi District Executive Committee.
The festive "Autoprobek-2017" (Motor Rally-2017) to the "Proryv" (Breakthrough) memorial complex, dedicated to the 72nd anniversary of the Soviet people's victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 90th anniversary of DOSAAF, will take place on May 5 in the Vitebsk region, as reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Ushachi District Executive Committee.
The event will be part of the military-patriotic campaign "Heirs of the Great Victory". Participants from district centers of the region, which have their own DOSAAF organizational structures, as well as representatives of the biker movement, activists of other public organizations and associations, will gather in the main square of Ushachi. After a brief welcome, they will proceed in a convoy of 45 crews, festively decorated with patriotic symbols, towards the memorial complex in the village of Poperyno. The culmination of the motor rally will be a requiem rally at the obelisk, with the laying of flowers and wreaths.
Participants and guests will be welcomed throughout the event with songs, prize draws, brass band performances, figure driving, and demonstration performances by kart racers and motocross riders, as well as a military-historical reenactment of events that occurred during the war. They will also be treated to soldier's porridge.
The motor rally is organised through the joint efforts of local government bodies, DOSAAF organisational structures, and public associations of Great Patriotic War veterans and Afghanistan War veterans.
