Visitors to the new art space, which will open for Vitebsk City Day and the 10th anniversary of the "Marko-City" business centre on the rooftop of the shopping mall, will be able to see a competition for the best design concept, a contemporary art exhibition, and the process of artists creating art objects, as reported to a BELTA correspondent by the Vitebsk City Executive Committee.
On June 24 and 25, artists Yuri Dubovsky, Gleb Kashtanov, and Grigory Gudkov will create art objects for the new venue in front of spectators. On June 25, the results of the public competition "+4500" for the best design concept, naming, and architectural content of the art space "M-Center" will be announced. Finalists and winners will receive commemorative prizes. Also, on June 25 and 26, you can make another discovery of "Marko-City" by visiting the contemporary art exhibition "974", dedicated to City Day.On June 24, from 5 PM to 11 PM, you can relax with the "Belka" dance studio, "Fitfly" aerial acrobatics on canvases, performances by the "Koleso" youth theatre, magician-illusionist Oleg Bulavin, and city DJs in the new art space. The next day, "Marko-City" will celebrate its first anniversary with a fashion show by the "Vitebsk" Cultural Centre's fashion theatre, which will present an adult show, the "Baraband" collective, which will put on a musical drum show, the cover band "Weekend-Band", and many other Vitebsk artists. The festive reactor - the "Atom" collective - will present a bright and unforgettable fire show.
A light show, street performance, relaxation on the blue lawn, and unusual decorative art objects – all this will be available for anyone to see in the new art space, as admission will be free on all public holidays. Additionally, the roof of "Marko-City" will become the new creative platform for the "Na Semi Vetrakh" street art festival during the "Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk" festival.
