On October 31, Vitebsk / Olga Bogacheva - BELTA /. A rush for tickets to the events of the International Festival of Modern Choreography (IFMC) arose long before the forum began. This was announced today at a press conference dedicated to the юбилейный XXV forum by Marina Romanovskaya, Deputy General Director for Special Projects of the Vitebsk Culture Centre, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. According to Marina Romanovskaya, a certain degree of apprehension, given the specificity of the festival, was present among the organisers, as always. However, public interest in the IFMC events began to manifest long before the forum itself. "Even before the start of a broad advertising campaign, many began to contact the ticket offices of the Vitebsk Culture Centre for tickets. Many calls were also received from Bobruisk, Molodechno, Grodno, where evenings of modern choreography will be held this year as part of the festival. As for the evening at the National Academic Grand Opera and Ballet Theatre of Belarus, which will take place on November 28, 65% of the tickets have already been sold," said Marina Romanovskaya. The ticket prices are very affordable. In Vitebsk, they range from Br25 thousand to Br95 thousand. In other cities, where sales are conducted through promoters, they are accordingly somewhat higher, noted Marina Romanovskaya. She emphasised that the organisers have the opportunity to set reasonable prices thanks to the festival's founders and state support. The юбилейный XXV International Festival of Modern Choreography (IFMC) will be held this year from November 19 to 29. In Vitebsk, the forum's programme will run from November 21 to 25. The founders of the festival are the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, the Ministry of Culture of Belarus, the Vitebsk City Executive Committee, and the National Academic Grand Opera and Ballet Theatre of Belarus. The organiser is the Vitebsk Culture Centre. The festival remains true to its main goal – the integration of Belarus's creative potential in the field of modern choreography into the global cultural space, continuing to stimulate the development of international relations in the arts. Thousands of artists from more than 40 countries have performed on the Vitebsk stage over the 25-year history of the festival, which all these years has contributed to strengthening the country's image as a modern state with highly artistic traditions and cultural values of the new century. -0-
