Due to rainy weather during the harvest, the harvesting was delayed by several days, which in turn led to a compression of favourable agrotechnical terms for winter sowing. While combine harvesters were still finishing the last fields, soil cultivation machinery was already working hard in the fields, and seed drills were cutting straight furrows.
No matter how difficult it was, time was not lost. The necessary amount of fertilisers was applied to the ploughed land, and the seeds were checked and treated with chemicals before sowing.
On the occasion of the holiday, the results of the competition among the workforces of the agricultural organisations of the district were summarised. Among the chief agronomists, Vladimir Sudak, who works at SVF "Zaazerye", was recognised as the best. In addition to good professional training, his rich many years of experience also helps him achieve high results.
Directly in the sowing of winter crops, the best was recognised as the machine operator Stanislav Smazhevsky. He sowed 510 hectares with the KG-6 unit. Considering that the sowing campaign lasted 25 days, it turns out that Stanislav sowed more than 20 hectares per day.
Today, agronomists note the good condition of the crops. On almost 100% of the winter fields, the shoots are strong, have emerged uniformly, and have gained strength. They are capable of overwintering calmly and will grow vigorously in the spring. Provided, of course, that no natural anomaly occurs.
For the next five months, the farmers can afford a respite. During this time, they can leisurely repair machinery and prepare it for the new field work season.
