A Gazebo Invites You to Stop

This year, two tables, four benches, and a beautiful gazebo have been installed at the entrance to the agro-town of Babrovo, located next to a small roadside pond. Nearby, there is also a consumer cooperative shop where one can purchase both food products and essential manufactured goods.

                  Village Celebrations

The tradition of holding village and street festivals has become established in the village council. These events focus on distinguished individuals, veterans of agricultural production and the social sphere, and young people who set an example in their work and personal lives. Such celebrations are always accompanied by popular songs, fun entertainment, and other engaging activities, ensuring no one feels bored. Furthermore, these festivals provide an opportunity for villagers and neighbours living on the same street to get to know each other better, foster greater mutual understanding, and learn how to spend their free time in an interesting and beneficial way. Staff from the local rural House of Culture assist in organising these events. This summer alone, the village of Batukalava and Pryaziornaya Street in the agro-town of Babrovo held their respective celebrations.

Demand Ranging from 70 to Three Million

The territory of the village council is a land of blue lakes and other uniquely beautiful natural landscapes. Residents of Minsk and other major cities in our country are happy to acquire land plots here for building summer residences. Last year, one such plot of 15 ares in the village of Haravyya was sold at auction for 70 million rubles, while the current owners of two other plots of approximately the same size in the village of Zaslaŭki paid 40 and 10 million rubles respectively. However, auctions are unpredictable; prices are determined by market conditions and depend solely on the availability of real demand at a specific time. This year, one plot in the village of Zavadzina was sold for three million 150 thousand rubles.

                    Improvements

This year, a section of Shkolnaya Street in the village of Matyrino has been asphalted, and a street in the village of Zalessye has been repaired and covered with gravel. In Radun, pothole repairs have been carried out on the street and the access road to the public cemetery. The next task is to equip the access road to the cemetery in the village of Kostinka.
Last year, a fence was erected at the cemetery in the village of Batukalava, and this year it has been painted. Hazardous trees have been removed from the cemeteries in the villages of Zagortsy and Ostrovy. Litter has been cleared from the cemeteries in the villages of Matyrino, Ladzeena, Susha, Zagortsy, and Demyashkova.

                     Monument Repaired

In the village of Susha, the monument to soldiers and partisans who perished during the Great Patriotic War has been repaired. The old metal fence has been replaced with a new reinforced concrete one. The monument itself and its immediate surroundings have been improved using modern finishing materials, including attractive construction tiles.
