September 9, Minsk /BELTA/. The Development Bank of Belarus, jointly with the Ministry of Education, is holding a national creative drawing competition "My School Bus," the bank's press center informed BELTA.

Pupils of preschool, general secondary education institutions, and institutions of additional education for children and youth aged 5 to 17 can participate in the competition. The main idea of the competition is to involve children in developing a logo (emblem) for Belarusian school buses.

As explained by the press center, drawings can be A4 and A3 format, made on any material (drawing paper, cardboard, canvas) using any drawing technique and any visual aids. "The drawings must be accompanied by a relevant slogan – a concise, easily memorable phrase that expresses, in the author's opinion, the essence of the social program 'School Bus'," the Development Bank's press center noted. Drawings must be independently created.

The competition is held in 2 stages. Until October 10, 2014, participants can send their works by mail (or deliver them in person) to the Development Bank's address with the mandatory marking "For the Children's Drawing Competition." The winner will be determined in the second stage through online voting on the bank's website from October 17 to 31.

The winner and finalists of the competition will be awarded diplomas and prizes provided by the Development Bank. The winner will receive a laptop, and the finalists will receive tablet computers.-0-
