On September 14, Minsk /BelTA correspondent/. Banks of Belarus will change the purchase and sale rates of foreign currency for individuals from September 14. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent by the Information Department of the National Bank.
"In order to transition to a balanced functioning of the cash foreign exchange market and in connection with the opening of an additional trading session on OJSC "Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange", the National Bank has recommended that banks, when setting exchange rates of foreign currencies for foreign exchange transactions involving individuals, focus on the rates formed at the end of the additional trading session," the National Bank noted. In other words, after the first trades in the additional session on September 14, banks will change the previously set purchase and sale rates of foreign currencies.
At the same time, banks need to carry out organizational and technical measures for the purchase and delivery of cash foreign currency. "Taking this circumstance into account, at the initial stage, banks will sell cash foreign currency to individuals within the limits of the currency purchased from them and, where possible, will replenish exchange offices (cash desks) using available cash foreign currency," the National Bank explained. -0-
