Belarusian banks have increased the volume of financing for housing construction with targeted subsidies for the current year by Br74.3 million. This is stated in the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of October 24, 2018 No. 763 "On certain measures to fulfill the targets for 2018 for the construction of residential buildings", which is officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal, BELTA reports.

The document amends the Government Resolution of December 30, 2017 No. 1051 "On measures to fulfill the targets for 2018 for the construction of residential buildings, the volumes of commissioning and financing of housing construction and engineering and transport infrastructure in 2019". In particular, this year the volume of credit funds issued by banks for the construction (reconstruction) of residential premises, part of the interest on which and (or) the principal debt on which citizens repay through subsidies, has been increased by Br74.3 million to Br600.3 million. Such loans are provided by Belarusbank, Belagroprombank, BPS-Sberbank, Priorbank, Bank BelVEB, Belinvestbank.

In addition, Belarusbank has increased the volume of preferential credit resources issued this year to citizens, developer organizations and customers on the terms defined by legislative acts by Br16.2 million. Now this amount is Br101.9 million. Belarusbank directs preferential credit resources primarily to complete settlements for residential buildings commissioned before January 1, 2018, as well as to finance the construction of housing for citizens who have an extraordinary right to receive preferential loans.

In total, for the construction (reconstruction) of residential premises, excluding infrastructure costs, banks will allocate Br736.3 million in 2018.

Resolution of October 24, 2018 No. 763 comes into force after official publication.
