On September 21, Vitebsk /Diana Kurilo - BELTA/. Bankers predict the strengthening of the Belarusian ruble and stabilization of the currency market in the near future, reports a BELTA correspondent. The acting head of branch No. 200 of the Vitebsk regional department of OJSC "Belarusbank", Maksim Kazak, noted that the dollar purchase rate in the bank's exchange offices has decreased from Br8100 to Br7300 in recent days (as of September 21). The population is actively selling foreign currency, while there is no rush to buy it. "In recent days, a stabilization of supply and demand has been observed, and the number of currency exchange transactions is approaching the pre-crisis level," said Maksim Kazak. A similar situation is developing in the branches of the Vitebsk regional department of OJSC "Belagroprombank". According to its head, Oleg Zingel, the stabilization of the situation is evident: queues have disappeared, and the population sells more currency than it buys. In his opinion, in the near future, the exchange rates of foreign currencies against the Belarusian ruble will decrease, which is explained by the onset of so-called budget days: tax and salary payment deadlines have approached. In the branches of "Belagroprombank", the dollar purchase rate has decreased from Br8200 to Br7900 in recent days. A BELTA correspondent visited several branches of "Belarusbank" and "Belagroprombank" and became convinced that there is no rush to buy or sell currency in the morning hours. The branches are operating in a calm mode, and Belarusian rubles are available in sufficient quantities for transactions. The banking system is ready to conduct currency exchange operations at exchange offices upon presentation of passports. -0-
