The "Velvet Season" will bring together the best bards today at the "Vitebsky Listopad" festival-celebration, the BELTA correspondent was informed at the "Vitebsk" Culture Centre. The "Velvet Season" gala concert will take place in the "Vitebsk" Concert Hall and will resolve the intrigue of the entire festival. A competent jury will announce the results of the competitive performances at the awards ceremony and present the audience with three laureates in the nominations "Author", "Performer", and "Duet, Ensemble", and the audience will once again be able to enjoy their performances. Traditionally, the awards ceremony will be followed by a celebration. A whole section will be dedicated to the works of Grigory Dansky, an amazing poet, author-performer of poignant songs, laureate of many prestigious bard festivals, such as "Peterburgsky Akkord" and "Moskovskiye Okna". The songs of this Moscow bard are often compared to the poetic heritage of the Silver Age, which can be described as a very high appraisal of his work and recognition among his colleagues. Belarusian performers, whose names are familiar to many fans of the author's genre, will also perform: Igor Perelygin, Svetlana Pyshnenko, Inna Shabelnaya, Alexander Bazylev, Vasily Vlasenko, Alexander Solovyan, Vladimir Tsviki, Nina Doroshchenko (Vitebsk), Olga and Igor Podchinenkovy (Grodno). The city festival-celebration "Vitebsky Listopad" has long become a pleasant tradition of the city on the Dvina. The current forum opened on October 26 with a musical and poetic meeting with Gerd Kramber, a German bard, singer, composer and poet, known for his attachment to the creative heritage of Bulat Okudzhava and Vladimir Vysotsky. -0-
