February 3, Minsk /BELTA/. The official broadcaster of the Olympics in Belarus, Belteleradiocompany, will show a live broadcast of the opening ceremony of the XXII Olympic Games. The solemn ceremony will begin on February 7 at 19:10 on Belarus 1, BELTA was informed by the press service of Belteleradiocompany.

The opening ceremony of the XXII Winter Olympic Games will take place at the Fisht Stadium, located in the Olympic Park, near the Black Sea in the city of Sochi. The stadium will accommodate about 40,000 spectators who wish to witness the opening of the 22nd Winter Olympics.

The ceremony will last about three hours. The full schedule of the show dedicated to the opening of the Games is classified as "Secret", but it is already known that it will be divided into nine parts, narrating about different periods of the Russian era, and will be held on three sites.

It is also known that the Russian pop group "t.A.T.u." will perform at the opening ceremony. The names of other participants are kept secret. As previously reported by the organizers, the grand show is planned to involve the largest number of participants in the entire history of the Olympic Games.

The spectacular show will conclude, as always, with the birth of the Olympic flame.
