29 December, Vitebsk / Diana Kurilo - BELTA /. Additional import of electricity to Belarus from the Russian Federation and Ukraine in 2012 will be economically justified, Deputy Minister of Energy of Belarus Mikhail Mikhaduk told a BELTA correspondent. "We will import electricity from Russia and Ukraine from the point of view of economic expediency," he said. At the same time, the deputy minister explained that there are guaranteed supply volumes for which contracts have been signed, and additional volumes that will be carried out based on economic expediency. Mikhail Mikhaduk refused to name the volumes of guaranteed electricity imports, citing commercial secrecy, and only said that they are at the level of 2011. -0-
