"Throughout this period, Belarusian-Qatari ties have dynamically developed on the principles of friendship and trust. There has been an exchange of high-level visits, embassies have been opened in Minsk and Doha, an intergovernmental commission has been established, and constructive cooperation has been established in the fields of trade, investment, education, and sports," the congratulation reads.
Alexander Lukashenko noted that the Marriott hotel complex, built by Qatar, has become a decoration of the Belarusian capital. Belarus is ready to support new projects with the participation of Qatari investors.
"I fondly recall my visits to Doha, meetings with you and your father, His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, as well as the hospitality of the Qatari people. I have had the opportunity to witness the dynamic development of Qatar. Despite the influence of external factors, the distinctive economic progress of your state is maintained, and its authority in the world is constantly growing," the President emphasized.
The Head of State hopes that the Emir of Qatar will have the opportunity to visit Belarus and, during a personal meeting with him, discuss current and promising areas of bilateral cooperation. Alexander Lukashenko expressed his conviction that both countries will soon successfully overcome contemporary challenges and continue to cooperate fruitfully for the benefit of their peoples.
In turn, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in his congratulatory message to the Belarusian Head of State, noted the progress in the development of bilateral relations. "We confirm our commitment to support and strengthen these relations in all spheres for the benefit and in the interests of our peoples," he stressed.
