This was discussed at the seventh meeting of the Belarusian-Kazakhstan Commission on Scientific and Technical Cooperation, the press service of the State Committee on Science and Technology of Belarus informed BELTA.
"The priority areas of scientific, scientific-technical and innovative activities of Belarus and Kazakhstan coincide in many respects, which allows us to deepen and expand our interaction, as well as to implement mutually beneficial projects, including in the field of high technologies," emphasized the Chairman of the SCST, Alexander Shumilin.
He noted that Belarusian and Kazakh scientific organizations are implementing two joint scientific and technical projects and three pilot innovation projects under the Interstate Program for Innovative Cooperation of the CIS Member States for the period up to 2020. In addition, higher education institutions of Belarus and Kazakhstan are carrying out joint scientific research and have already applied for joint patents for inventions.
The meeting of the Belarusian-Kazakhstan Commission on Scientific and Technical Cooperation was held under the leadership of the Chairman of the SCST of Belarus, Alexander Shumilin, and the Chairman of the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kazakhstan, Zhanna Kurmangaliyeva.
