First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus, Xie Xiaoyong, on September 28. This was reported to the BELTA correspondent by the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"The parties exchanged views on current issues of Belarusian-Chinese cooperation. Special emphasis was placed on the implementation of agreements following the meeting of the leaders of Belarus and China on the sidelines of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO member states in Uzbekistan," the statement of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reads.
The interlocutors discussed issues of interaction and mutual support in international organizations.
As previously reported by BELTA, during the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit in Samarkand, a meeting took place between the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, and the Chairman of the People's Republic of China, Xi Jinping, where a wide range of issues of Belarusian-Chinese cooperation was discussed.
