President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has approved the draft intergovernmental agreement with Mongolia on the mutual recognition and exchange of driving licenses. The corresponding Decree No. 216 was signed by the Head of State on May 30, as reported to BELTA by the press service of the Head of State.

The draft agreement has been approved as a basis for negotiations. The Ministry of Internal Affairs is authorised to conduct these negotiations and to sign the document.

In accordance with this agreement, Belarus and Mongolia will mutually recognise driving licenses. Citizens of one party who are permanent residents of the territory of the other party shall be entitled to exchange their driving licenses without passing theoretical and practical examinations.
