Belarus and Russia have agreed on oil supplies for the first quarter of 2013 in the volume of 5.75 million tonnes, the press service of the Belarusian government informed a BELTA correspondent. Negotiations between the First Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Vladimir Semashko and the Deputy Chairman of the Government of Russia Arkady Dvorkovich took place in Moscow on 27-28 December. "The parties have agreed on the volumes of Russian oil supplies to Belarus in the first quarter of next year in the amount of 5.75 million tonnes," the press service noted. Provided that the Belarusian oil refineries operate on a uniform loading schedule, this figure corresponds to the required volume declared by Belarus for oil supplies for the next year - 23 million tonnes, they pointed out. "The negotiations were held in a constructive manner, which allowed the parties to reach a coordinated decision. An agreement has been reached to continue negotiations in the first quarter of 2013 on the balance of oil supplies for the remaining period of next year," the press service of the Belarusian government added. In the current year, the balance of Russian oil supplies to Belarus will be fulfilled in full. Belarusian oil refineries have processed 21.7 million tonnes of oil, which is 5.7% more compared to last year.-0-
