On March 23, Minsk /Lilia Krapivina - BELTA/. Belarus and Russia have created a legal framework for signing a contract agreement on the implementation of the NPP construction project in Belarus. This was stated today to journalists by Deputy Minister of Energy Mikhail Mikhaduk, BELTA correspondent reports.
The intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the construction of a nuclear power plant on the territory of Belarus, signed on March 15 in Minsk, is a conceptual document "which provides a legal basis for signing a contract agreement for the implementation of this project," Mikhail Mikhaduk emphasized. Further work of Belarus and Russia in this project will be detailed in the contract agreement and the general contract planned for signing.
In addition, the agreement stipulates that the Russian side will provide Belarus with a state loan in the amount and on terms to be agreed upon by a separate intergovernmental agreement, Mikhail Mikhaduk said.
