25 August, Minsk /Lyudmila Sats - BELTA/. Belarus will ensure a GDP growth rate of 110-111% in 2010 compared to the previous year. This was stated today by the Prime Minister of Belarus, Sergei Sidorsky, at a meeting with the asset of the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.
Sergei Sidorsky recalled that despite all the difficulties of the current year, the GDP growth rate for January-July was 107%, industrial output was around 110%, agricultural output was over 108%, real monetary incomes of the population increased by 8%, and retail trade turnover increased by more than 15%.
"Positive dynamics characterize other forecast parameters as well. Taken together, this means that the recovery of economic growth has become a widespread reality, and this, in turn, affects all aspects of the implementation of social programs and tasks," the Prime Minister emphasized. -0-
