Belarus plans to showcase its achievements to the fullest at the second Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia in Sochi and expects to conclude new profitable contracts and agreements. According to Mikhail Myasnikovich, Head of State Alexander Lukashenko also directed the forum participants towards this goal. New contracts will contribute to increasing exports, and exports, as is well known, are one of Belarus's key priorities. "Not only the well-being of enterprises depends on this, but also the overall situation in the country's financial market," added the speaker.

In this regard, he recalled that there is not much time left until the forum (just over a month). Today, Mikhail Myasnikovich convened a conference call to hear reports from representatives of the regions, as well as a number of ministries and departments. The participants of the meeting discussed issues related to the signing of an agreement on interregional cooperation, the conclusion of contracts and agreements at the second Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia, the organization of an exhibition of industrial products, and a fair for the sale of Belarusian goods.

In general, the Chairman of the Council of the Republic stated that the program developed by the forum's organizing committee has been agreed upon. The Belarusian side is headed by the Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic, Anatoly Rusetsky. "The program is available, and the concepts for all events to be held within the framework of this forum have also been determined (both for the work in sections and for plenary sessions, and for the exhibition and fair)," the speaker added. In addition, the Government of Belarus has made the necessary decisions regarding the exhibition of Belarusian industrial products and the fair sale of domestic goods.

As reported, the second Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia will be held on September 17-18 in Sochi. The first forum took place in Minsk on June 5-6, 2014. From the Russian side, 188 people participated (19 regions were represented), and from the Belarusian side, 117 people participated. Participants, among other things, focused on the state and key issues of interaction in the agro-industrial complex, and developed recommendations to promote a coordinated agricultural policy and ensure food security in the Union State.
