Last year, the Armed Forces of Belarus were in 49th place.
In the top of the strongest armies in the world in 2018, Belarus is ranked after Romania (40th place) and ahead of Peru (42nd). The United States holds the first place in the ranking, the Russian army is in second place, and China rounds out the top three leaders.
The Global Firepower ranking is formed based on 55 parameters and includes 136 states.
