On June 6, Kyiv /BelTA correspondent/. Belarus will receive a loan from the EurAsEC Anti-Crisis Fund in the amount of $3 billion. The corresponding decision was approved at the meeting of the EurAsEC Anti-Crisis Fund Council held on June 4 in Kyiv, BelTA correspondent reports.
The loan will be disbursed in tranches over 3 years. It is issued for 10 years with a grace period of 3 years for repayment deferral.
In 2011, $1.24 billion will be disbursed, including the first tranche of $800 million, which will be received within 10-15 days. By the end of the year, the second tranche of $440 million will be disbursed based on the financial stability indicators provided by the Government of Belarus.
The interest rate on the disbursed loan is floating; it will be determined taking into account the external borrowings of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan based on the ratings of these countries. As noted by the head of the Russian Ministry of Finance, Alexei Kudrin, the current interest rate of about 4% is very low. -0-
