On August 4, Minsk / BELTA correspondent /. Belarus will provide assistance to Russia in extinguishing fires and restoring housing. As reported to a BELTA correspondent by the press service of the Belarusian government, on August 4, a telephone conversation took place between the Prime Minister of Belarus, Sergei Sidorsky, and the Chairman of the Government of Russia, Vladimir Putin. The head of the Belarusian government announced the proposals of the Belarusian side on providing assistance to the Russian Federation in eliminating emergency situations related to forest fires, as well as in restoring housing lost in the fire. The Prime Minister of Russia, Vladimir Putin, expressed his gratitude to the leadership of Belarus for the offered assistance in a difficult situation. As explained in the press service, the Belarusian side proposed support in two areas. Firstly, despite the difficult fire hazard situation in our republic, Belarus will send 20 vehicles equipped with the most modern firefighting equipment, as well as 2 EMERCOM helicopters to Russia. Secondly, Belarus has extensive experience in rural housing construction, and there are developed projects for typical residential houses. In the current situation, the Belarusian side is ready to suspend the implementation of its programs in this area of construction and provide maximum assistance to Russia in building the required number of turnkey houses before the cold weather sets in. Thus, in the very near future, Belarusian specialists will begin construction of 100 such houses. In the future, if necessary, their number can be increased.
