Belarus to present 2015 tourism events calendar in London

Belarus is presenting its tourism opportunities at the largest tourism exhibition World Travel Market (WTM), which opens today in London, according to BELTA.

Several Belarusian tourism industry entities will be represented at the national stand. The National Tourism Agency is coordinating the stand at WTM. As explained by Svetlana Gavrilova, Deputy Director of the NTA, during the exhibition, the "Minsk" Information and Tourism Centre will present the sights of the capital. The companies "Prime Tour", "Alatan Tour", and "Viapol" will present tour packages for foreign guests, and the "Yubileynaya" hotel will introduce visitors to accommodation options in Minsk.

The National Tourism Agency will focus on promoting cultural, educational, sports, and medical tourism. According to Svetlana Gavrilova, foreign tourists have recently shown particular interest in Belarusian national parks, so routes through Belovezhskaya Pushcha, Pripyatsky National Park, and Berezinsky Biosphere Reserve will be presented at WTM.

In addition, the exhibition will feature the 2015 tourism events calendar. The publication presents the most interesting and notable events in our country that may attract foreigners' attention next year. Tourists will also be offered guidebooks and maps of the regions of Belarus.

WTM is the largest image-building event in the global tourism sector. More than 50,000 specialists visit the exhibition annually. Approximately 5,000 exhibiting companies representing almost 200 countries participate in the exhibition. This year, special attention will be paid to digital technologies in the tourism industry (including the use of payment systems and online booking systems, mobile applications, social networks), the organisation of luxury tours, and the presentation of hotel chains and air carriers. The exhibition will be held at the ExCeL London exhibition centre. The exhibition will run until November 6.
