The President drew attention to the active development of trade, economic and investment cooperation. Billion-dollar Chinese preferential loans and direct investments are actively contributing to the modernization of the Belarusian economy, the introduction of advanced technologies and innovations. The Head of State expressed confidence that the current visit of Wu Bangguo will become an important milestone in the development and strengthening of Belarusian-Chinese relations. According to him, the agreements and contracts signed yesterday will launch the implementation of breakthrough projects. Alexander Lukashenko also believes that the launch of the first Belarusian communications satellite and the creation of the China-Belarus Industrial Park will lay a solid foundation for long-term partnership in the field of high technologies, and will become a kind of calling card for China in Europe. During the negotiations, the President of Belarus emphasized that in January 2012, Belarus and China will celebrate the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
