This was announced today at a briefing by Vitaly Kuleshevich, Head of the Main Department of Trade Statistics of the National Statistical Committee of Belarus, as reported by a BELTA correspondent. Last year, the republic provided services to non-residents from 174 countries and received services from non-residents from 134 countries. Services export to CIS countries accounted for 28.2% of the total services export volume, and services import from CIS countries - 29.3%. Compared to 2009, trade turnover with CIS countries increased by 25.8% and amounted to $2.1 billion, exports - by 32.2% ($1.3 billion), imports - by 17% ($0.8 billion). With countries outside the CIS, trade turnover increased by 32.4% and amounted to $5.2 billion, including exports increased by 26.1% ($3.2 billion) and imports - by 44% ($2 billion). According to state statistical reporting 12-ves (services) "Report on Export and Import of Services", the top eight countries with the largest trade turnover volume included Russia, Lithuania, Germany, Ukraine, China, the USA, Latvia, and Switzerland. In terms of services export and import volumes, Belarus's main trading partner is Russia. In 2010, services were provided to Russian residents for $2 billion and received for $0.7 billion. According to the National Bank, services export to Russia amounted to $1 billion and imports - $0.5 billion. In terms of import volumes, Lithuania ranks second with $283.4 million, which is about 40% of the Russian import volume. The activity of non-residents from China has also increased.
