New markets include Aruba, Barbados, Benin, Bolivia, Qatar, Mauritius, Panama, Peru, Suriname, Somalia, Uganda, Uruguay, Jamaica. According to the MFA spokesperson, Belarus continues its systematic work to develop new sales markets and diversify export supplies to traditional markets. Thus, during this period, it was possible to increase supplies of Belarusian products to Ethiopia (tractors, prime movers), Morocco (tires, special-purpose vehicles, trucks), Greece (oil products), Nigeria (fertilizers), Gabon (steel products), Malaysia (fertilizers and caprolactam), Bangladesh (fertilizers, synthetic threads, X-ray equipment), Hong Kong (integrated circuits, diodes, transistors, semiconductor devices, liquid crystal devices, lasers), Venezuela (buses, trolleybuses). Andrei Savinykh noted that according to the results of the first four months of 2011, positive trends in foreign trade in goods are strengthening. Since February, it has been possible to ensure a stable monthly export growth. Thus, in January, exports amounted to $1.7 billion, in February - $2.7 billion, in March - $3.3 billion. By the end of April, total supplies of Belarusian goods for export exceeded $3.5 billion. This is the best export performance for the country, exceeding the peak supplies of 2008. In the most successful year of 2008, Belarus exported goods worth $3.2 billion. As a result of export growth, the negative balance in April of the current year decreased by $460 million. -0-
