June 18, Minsk /BELTA/. Belarus is introducing a temporary ban on the export of raw hides from its territory. This decision was made by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of Belarus dated June 14, 2013, the BELTA press service of the Belarusian government reported.

The ban on the export of unprocessed cattle hides is established from June 20 to November 1, 2013. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus will notify the Eurasian Economic Commission about this, and will also submit a proposal to the EEC for consideration regarding the application of this measure by other member states of the Customs Union.

Belarus has customs duties on the export of raw hides in order to prevent their shortage in the republic in accordance with Decree No. 40 of February 1, 2011 "On the establishment of export customs duty rates for raw hides". It provides for the establishment of export customs duty rates for raw hides exported from the territory of Belarus outside the Eurasian Economic Community member states.-0-
