Belarus plans to triple the presence of its specialists at construction sites in Vladivostok by mid-May. This was reported to the President of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, during his visit to Vladivostok, as reported by a BELTA correspondent.The Head of State, in particular, visited Russky Island, where a multifunctional cultural and educational centre is under construction. Belarusian specialists are also involved in its construction. As reported to the President, 44 people from Belarus are currently working at the site. It is planned that by the end of April, another 50 people will be sent here, and by mid-May – another 50, informed the Minister of Architecture and Construction, Ruslan Parhamovich. According to him, Belarusian specialists are mainly involved in the construction of residential premises and dormitories.

As the representative of the company "Stroytransgaz", which is responsible for the construction of the centre from the Russian side, said, the design documentation for the construction of the theatre and the draft of the relevant contract have been sent to Belarus. They are under consideration.

Regarding the participation of Belarusian specialists in construction, Alexander Lukashenko recalled his main requirement: "If you can't do it, don't take it on. If you've taken it on, you must do it."

There is a possibility that after the completion of the cultural and educational centre facilities, construction workers from Belarus may continue their work at other sites in Vladivostok. It is planned to create a large construction company on the basis of "Stroytransgaz", which will be engaged in the construction of roads, bridges, and housing stock. As noted by the Governor of Primorsky Krai, Oleg Kozhemyako, they plan to allocate a facility for the construction of 180,000 sq.m. of housing.
