On October 22, Minsk / Tatyana Chumakova - BELTA /. "Bellegprom" concern confirms the transaction of "San Marco" LLC with the Italian company "Baldinini". This was reported to BELTA correspondent by the concern's press secretary Tatyana Pyshchalo. This week, information appeared in the media that the president of the Italian company, Jimmy Baldinini, officially stated that he had no agreements with the Vitebsk manufacturer. "Upon request, "Bellegprom" was provided with copies of the contract in Russian and Italian languages between "San Marco" LLC and the Italian firm "Baldinini", as well as an additional agreement to the said contract, also in two languages," said the press secretary. According to the contract concluded on March 9, 2010, between the two manufacturers, "Baldinini" supplies footwear, as well as shoe lasts, soles, and other goods for the production of 100 shoe models according to specifications, for a total amount of 120 thousand euros, and "San Marco" is obliged to pay for the goods within the terms specified by the contract. The specifications indicate the name, quantity, price of the goods, their cost, and the terms and conditions of delivery. The contract also specifies other terms, the procedure for filing claims and terminating the contract, procedures for transferring rights, correspondence, and dispute resolution. The additional agreement dated March 10, 2010, to the contract states that "Baldinini" supplies the shoe models developed by them and samples of these models to "San Marco" according to specifications. The agreement also notes that "San Marco" has the right to use the goods for its own production of footwear made based on the supplied models, under its own trademark. The press secretary added that "San Marco" LLC is interested in continuing cooperation with the Italian firm "Baldinini". "San Marco" was established in 2003. It produces men's, women's, and children's footwear for various purposes. It is part of the Belarusian-German company "Marco". In 2009, "San Marco" produced 808 thousand pairs of shoes (growth rate compared to 2008 was 106.6%), including children's shoes - 218 thousand pairs (27% of the total production volume), women's shoes - 426 thousand pairs (52.7%), and men's shoes - 164 thousand pairs (20.3%). In 2009, about 400 shoe models were produced, including 252 new ones developed. About 40% of the products are exported to Russia. The enterprise employs 830 people.
