"Substantive negotiations on oil supplies took place in Kazakhstan, meetings were held with representatives of the Ministry of Energy of Kazakhstan and industry companies. Currently, we are continuing negotiations with companies that could become our potential oil suppliers, discussing supply volumes and logistics with them, and determining the format of cooperation in this direction," the press service noted.
As for the agreement on oil and petroleum product supplies with Kazakhstan itself, according to the concern, its signing requires a number of administrative procedures on the part of Kazakhstan. "It is difficult to say exactly when the agreement will be signed, it still needs to be ratified by the Kazakh side. They have their own rules," the press service explained.
As reported, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree authorizing the government to hold negotiations with Kazakhstan on trade and economic cooperation in the supply of oil and petroleum products to Belarus. Earlier, Alexander Lukashenko repeatedly mentioned Kazakhstan among the countries from which there is a potential opportunity to organize oil supplies to Belarus. This issue was also discussed in October last year during the official visit of the Belarusian head of state to Kazakhstan.
