20 September, Minsk /Andrei Asfura - BELTA. Belarus plans to maximally shield individuals from the risks of the investment process associated with the construction of housing facilities. This was announced to a BELTA correspondent by Dmitry Semenkevich, Deputy Minister of Architecture and Construction. In his opinion, consumers should purchase finished products – commissioned housing facilities. This will resolve issues with the quality, cost, and construction timelines. The Deputy Minister noted that there are private companies ready to invest in the construction of housing facilities. Moreover, developers should calculate their financial capabilities not for one year, but for several years ahead. As for the ordinary buyer, they should direct credit resources towards the purchase of an already completed housing facility, the interviewee believes. The concept of state orders – housing construction with state support – will be preserved in Belarus. "Everything else is commercial activity of enterprises, regardless of their form of ownership," noted Dmitry Semenkevich. There are currently no barriers for construction companies to participate in commercial construction, the Deputy Minister added. -0-
