The Belarusian Transport Week is an annual international transport and logistics forum, which includes the international specialised exhibition "Transport and Logistics", as well as an extensive business programme. It is organised by the Ministry of Transport and Communications in conjunction with other interested state bodies, industry business associations, professional organisations, research and educational institutions.
The main theme of this year's forum is the strategy for the development of Belarus's transport infrastructure and transport and logistics services based on modern information and communication technologies. The objective of BTW-2018 is to discuss promising areas for the development of Belarus's transport and logistics complex, promote the growth of cargo flows through the republic's territory, enhance the safety of transport activities, improve the quality and efficiency of transport and logistics services based on digital transformation, attract investment and innovation into the transport and logistics sector, further develop international cooperation, and strengthen Belarus's image as a transit state.
Transport and logistics companies, suppliers of equipment for equipping logistics centres, insurance companies, manufacturers and dealers of automotive equipment, seaports administrations and railway administrations from CIS countries, near and far abroad countries annually participate in the Belarusian Transport Week. In 2018, about 80 organisations from 10 countries (Austria, Belarus, China, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, France, Sweden) are participating in the "Transport and Logistics" exhibition. In addition to individual company stands, the exhibition features collective stands from Latvia, Klaipeda Seaport and Lithuanian port companies, stands of Belarusian Railway, Latvian Railway, Lithuanian Railway, Ukrainian Railway, and the Association of International Freight Forwarders and Logistics "BAME".
The events of the Belarusian Transport Week will run until October 4.
