19 September Minsk /BelTA correspondent/. Commercial banks of Belarus have started to lift restrictions on withdrawing foreign currencies from ruble cards, BelTA reports. As reported by the Belarusian People's Bank, since September 19, bank clients can freely withdraw cash dollars or euros from their plastic cards at ATMs and branches of this and other banks within Belarus and abroad. In addition, the Belarusian People's Bank will conduct non-cash payment transactions on devices belonging to the bank and other banks, in Belarus and abroad, as well as non-cash payment transactions on the Internet on websites registered within Belarus and abroad. Bank clients also have the option to top up their currency card accounts with Belarusian rubles. Fransabank has also lifted restrictions. Its clients can withdraw foreign currency from their bank plastic cards both within the country and abroad from today. At the same time, major banks such as Belarusbank, Belinvestbank, Belvnesheconombank, and others still maintain restrictions. Some of these banks note that the issue of lifting limits is still under consideration. It is recalled that due to a currency deficit in the spring of this year, Belarusian banks introduced limits on withdrawing currency from bank plastic cards abroad. Some banks completely banned the use of these cards abroad. In Belarus, transactions on such cards were carried out only in Belarusian rubles.-0-
