Belarusian meat and dairy enterprises adhere to high quality standards. This was stated to a BELTA correspondent by Nadezhda Kotkovets, Deputy Head of the Presidential Affairs Directorate.
"We know the requirements – safety, quality compliance, and so on. And all enterprises take these requirements very seriously and fulfill them," noted Nadezhda Kotkovets.
"The remarks that the Russian side is talking about are instantly rectifiable. In most cases, it is about the оформление of accompanying documents. But if an inaccuracy in a document is corrected and the enterprise's products comply with all technological requirements for product quality and safety, then the enterprise cannot be closed for supplies for a month or two," added the Deputy Head of the Presidential Affairs Directorate. She pointed out that Belarusian products are currently in demand among Russian buyers.
Although the Russian market remains a priority in terms of both logistics and price factors, Belarusian enterprises have nevertheless made great strides in promoting their products to markets in other countries – Kazakhstan, China, Kyrgyzstan, and Ukraine. "Our food is competitive in any market," emphasized the Deputy Head of the Presidential Affairs Directorate.
Today, Nadezhda Kotkovets participated in a round table discussion on "Innovative Technologies in Dairy Cattle Breeding" with the participation of representatives of a delegation from the Tomsk region of Russia. Representatives of this Russian region are interested in studying the latest technologies in Belarusian agriculture, with particular interest in dairy cattle breeding. During the round table discussion, the delegation from the Tomsk region proposed establishing cooperation between Tomsk and Belarusian agricultural universities, organizing internships for farmers in Belarus, and jointly working on promising projects in the field of science.
